Soldiers in 1814 would have a Tombstone Shako, Grey Wool Jacket, Linen Shirt, suspenders, White Trousers, Short Gaiters, Brogans (a type of shoe that was laced with a horseshoe on the heal), Black cross belt for a cartridge box, with a second cross belt for a bayonet with a plate to hold the belts together, a Haversack ( a satchel to carry the rations for a soldier), a black leather Neckstock (a neck stock is to prevent a soldier from looking around), soldiers would carry a backpack to carry any extra clothing and personal belongings and lastly the Ninth US would carry a Springfield 1795 Flintlock Musket
